The Texas Young Lawyers Association is a department of the State Bar of Texas. Every licensed Texas lawyer who is 36 years of age or fewer or who is in their first five years of practice is automatically a member of TYLA by virtue of their membership in the State Bar.
Elections
Each year, TYLA holds a public election to elect its President-Elect. Any licensed Texas lawyer who is 36 years of age or fewer or who is in their first five years of practice is eligible to vote. Read more about the TYLA Election for President-Elect.
In addition, the TYLA Board annually elects four executive officers: Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and Chair-Elect.
TYLA's Board of Directors members are nominated and elected on a regional basis. Read the TYLA Director Election Guide (Coming Soon).
