Welcome to the first-ever state-wide virtual Triathlon, presented by TYLA. The TYLA Virtual Tri is designed to promote different types of exercise and “living well” throughout the year with virtual events/segments to be completed during the months of August, September and October. Each month participants will have the opportunity to complete one segment of the TYLA Virtual Tri.
How It Works
The TYLA Virtual Triathlon is open to all TYLA and SBOT members, and their friends and family members. The distances for the TYLA Triathlon are in the Sprint format (half the Olympic distance).
- Run/Walk: Participants have from August 1-31 to complete one 5K (3.1 mi) any way they choose—run or walk. After a participant finishes, they will submit the results using the Submit Your Results form (see below).
- Bike: Participants have from September 1-30 to complete one bicycle route of 20 km (12 mi). After a participant finishes their bike portion, they will submit the results using the Submit Your Results form (see below).
- Swim: Participants have from October 1-31 to complete one swim of 750 m (0.47 mi). After a participant finishes their swim portion, they will submit the results using the Submit Your Results form (see below).
*** A participant does not have to complete all three segments, although it is highly encouraged ***
