TYLA Affiliate Awards

We invite you to help honor members of your community.  The Texas Young Lawyers Association annually presents four prestigious awards listed below. All applications are due April 14th. 

• The Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas Award, which recognizes one young lawyer who has demonstrated professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community.
• The Liberty Bell Award, which recognizes one outstanding non-lawyer in Texas who has made the most selfless contribution to his or her community to strengthen the effectiveness of the American system of Justice by instilling better understanding and appreciation of the law.
• The Outstanding Mentor Award, which recognizes one attorney who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to mentoring young lawyers in his or her legal community.
• Justice Jeffrey S. Boyd Excellence in Access to Justice Award, which recognizes one exemplary Texas attorney who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to expanding access to justice in our state.

Awards of Achievement

The Awards of Achievement Program provides TYLA affiliates the opportunity to submit their best projects for evaluation. This program is designed to encourage project development by recognizing the time, effort and skills expended by these affiliates in implementing public service and professional service projects in their communities.
