“BSAFE – Battling Substance Abuse for Everyone” is a multi-media public service and education project intended to provide a free resource to educate youth about the dangers and real life consequences of substance abuse, to provide information and resources to teachers and parents who have children who may be struggling with addiction issues, and to educate the public about the use of drug courts to help deal with substance abuse issues and the benefits these specialty courts are currently providing the citizens of Texas.
The Peer-to-Peer video is a video for middle school, junior high and high school aged students that discusses the real life physical, psychological, and legal effects of substance abuse and addiction. The video features teenagers and young adults who tell their personal stories of substance abuse and addiction.
This is a video for parents and adults who are caretakers and teachers for kids who may be struggling with substance abuse or addiction. This video discusses the physical, psychological, and legal effects of substance abuse and addiction. It explains the warning signs of potential substance abuse of addiction problems and provides information on what to do and what not to do when dealing with kids who have these issues. TYLA has also created a pamphlet that complements this section of the DVD that is available for download on this website.
