Justice 101: The Client’s Guide to Litigation

We’re all familiar with the criminal justice system from TV and the movies, but until you’re involved in a lawsuit, chances are you don’t realize how little you know about litigation and the civil justice system.

Justice 101 was designed as a tool for attorneys to educate clients who are new to the litigation process. This 20-minute video explains the steps of the litigation process, from pleadings to trials to alternative dispute resolution. It also introduces important concepts such as the attorney-client privilege and the need for candor between lawyer and client.

Justice 101 was made possible by a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation, and can be made available in DVD format by contacting the Texas Young Lawyers Association at (512) 427-1529 or tyla@texasbar.com.
